Everyone is selling. Everyone is selling every day. We sell our ideas to our spouses, our children, our parents, our friends, our co-workers.
If your income depends on it we are wise to learn from the mistakes and successes of others. We all have vivid images of salespeople we want to RUN from if we see them coming. They are so thrilled about their product they assume we are too. Even though we’ve clearly made it known we are not interested. Hard core sales people have given themselves a death sentence because they will never have an open door with us again, even if it is something that may benefit us down the line.
We have also been sold something by others that were so laid back, so respectful of what we said that we were willing to hear them out instead of becoming defensive and skeptical. We warmly opened the door for their presentation. That was not an accident or something of a gift given to a select few. They knew a much more efficient way.
It is a language that can be learned like any foreign language. What if there were teachers of this language? Not just a book you pick up and try to apply, but teachers. One on one coaches who have been teaching others the secret for years and years. I have been quite honored to meet one of the best of the best. His name is Gregg Roberti and I highly recommend him.
